Trip Equipment List

General Information:

  • Scoutmaster will notify scouts whether Class A or Class B uniform is to be worn to camp.
  • It's the scout's responsibility to insure all required and appropriate seasonal items are brought to camp.
  • All items should be permanently marked with the scout's name and "Troop 201"
  • Flashlight and rain gear should be accessible at the top of the pack
  • For backpacking trips, all personal gear must be stowed in or attached to the backpack: hands must be free to carry troop gear.

Required Items:

  • Backpack
  • Smaller day pack for day hikes
  • Sleeping bag
  • Ground cloth
  • Poncho or other rain gear
  • Jacket, sweater or hooded sweatshirt
  • Extra boots or shoes
  • Two changes of underwear
  • Three pair of socks
  • Two Troop 201 t-shirts
  • Long pants
  • Handkerchief or tissues
  • Flashlight and spare batteries
  • Scout Handbook, pen, and pad
  • Compass
  • Wash kit (soap, toothbrush, etc.)
  • Towel
  • Knife, fork and spoon
  • Mess kit
  • Plastic bags
  • Refillable water bottle or canteen
  • First aid kit
  • Matches, fire-starting materials ***

  • Small amount of emergency money

Warm Weather Camping:
